04/20/2011:  4 Easy Steps to a Franchise Marketing Budget – Step 3: Estimate Pricing

Hopefully this will be the less painful, no-nonsense part, since you’ve already completed the painful task of configuring an overall marketing budget in Step 1!

Time for some due diligence from last week’s list of tactics you want to continue using and what new tricks you might want to keep up your sleeve.

Go back to the tactics you’ve tried before (and want to keep), and recall the price.  Then, contact your marketing service resources to confirm those prices or see if they’ve changed.  After jotting those down, explore the numbers that will entail those new marketing tactics you want to try. Know ahead of time that some of the costs may simply not be an option for you at the time, but now you know for the future.  The better news is that some of those new tactics might cost you much less than you thought!

Let’s face it—some franchisees have time, while some have money.  If you typically feel like you’re short on both, then it’s especially important that you take steps to manage your budget so you can earn back some ROI on both!
