06/21/2012:  Pinterest: Pinning Interests

Wedding Planning. Geek. Apparel. Social Media. Photography. Sports. Technology. Cars. Science & Nature.

Pinterest’s vast categories appeal to everyone and anyone, consuming their typical user for 77 minutes per visit.

What’s so exciting about it?

I never had a Pinterest account of my own so decided I’d do some research to figure out what was so special about this site. I created an account, chose a few marketing and business related categories to begin pinning my interests, and clicked “go”.

I was instantly flooded with marketing trends on social media, unique articles on small businesses, and statistics about Twitter usage. I couldn’t stop myself from pinning it all!

Using Pinterest as a marketing tool is just one more social media path to dive into for your own business. Pinterest users see hundreds of “pins” during those 77 minutes and your business can be one of them.

Making a company Pinterest account will allow your products and services to be viewed in new, creative ways by a whole new demographic–
putting your company one step ahead of competitors.

Now it’s your turn.  Have you used Pinterest for business yet? How will you effectively use Pinterest to grow your brand?
